Permanent Event Calendar

Whether you are a kindergarten, a school or an adult training center, or whether you just start your one man company or you are a big enterprise:

celebrate your achievements, open days and trial courses the right day!

The Media will be grateful for your contribution.

And people will listen more carefully to what you have to share.

In brief: contact the media in time and get your products ready.

Before or during the Christmas or summer holidays it's a good time for publishing such information.

There is a lot of free material at iTongue to supports your start-up and your PR activities.

You are allowed using them when indicating the source (the web link)

You are not allowed to charge any fees when using free iTongue material!

And here a preview for your start as a Leisure Language Learning provider:

This calendar values in particular world observances with future concerns rather than remembrance days.

January

20th        World Day of Social Justice: announce free download offers or a free download day for the benefit of people in need of language learning support (refugees, migrants) and address companies to support this campaign with their money and name as a donor

February

21st         International Mother Language Day (UNESCO) and as well as Tourist Guide World Day: announce “iTongue: plug & speak. Learn languages as easy as you learned your mother tongue and become a tourist that conquers the world!”

March

1st          World Compliment Day:
1) Reward you pupils with compliments; if it is not for their achievements, then look for other things to express your appreciation (attitude, skills, appearance etc.)
2) Give each pupil a list with all their names and ask them to write a compliment behind each name (if you then take the time to collect for each pupil all the compliments he/she received from the group, and you then give their own collection to each of them, see what happens…!)

3) Allow the media to reward you with compliments for your achievements and products.

6th          European Day of Speech and Language Therapy: where people have difficulties with their own language, why not supporting them with the latest and most successful means for foreign languages! Get in touch with speech therapists. Ask what the most current problems are. Create repetitive rhythm and rime patterns around such syllables and add some music. The brain needs repetition and reward hormones in order to learn correctly. In traditional teaching the need for repetition is rather not experienced as a reward. Rhythm, rime and music emit reward hormones! By help of these means Tongue seduces people to repeat.

April

2nd          Children Book International Day: announce your CD or DVD and picture book for early language learning or alphabetization.

7th          World Health Day (WHO): announce “Stop giving children a headache for their school marks: Support their health! Respect their brain! Go biking while music places school subjects in a rewarding way in your head! Humans are the learning species with a brain made for learning by pleasure!”

22nd     Earth Day: let’s embrace the earth and talk to each other! The earth’s future depends on respectful cooperation. And respectful cooperation depends on personal understanding. And understanding depends on language: talk! Talk to others! Talk in their language!

May

15th       International Day of Families: inform people: “Instead of endangering your family peace by school mark threads, go for fun with your children: watch entertaining videos while crucial school topics and foreign languages settle together in your brain. Go for a bike ride or sunbathing while music seduces your brain to learn. See also 1st June international children’s day.

21st         International Day for Cultural Development: Cultural development depends on welfare. Welfare in Europe increasingly depends on the creation and invention of new market sectors, new products and new jobs for the postindustrial learning and leisure society. Here it is, the Leisure Language Learning tool: iTongue links writers, translators, teachers, consultants, electronic technicians, designers, speakers, actors and musicians to create language without borders. A new generation of paralinguistic digital tools for foreign language learning joined with art-items, game-methods and key competence training: Scientific knowledge about the learning process synthesized with electronic means of mobile learning programs.

Organize intercultural events, introductory workshops, presentations etc. together with media and other local players.

(See also comments on 24th September, International World Information Day for Developmental Issues)

25th        Solidarity week with all those who are fighting for freedom, independence and Human Rights (UNO co memorandum day): publish free downloads and youtube clips of iTongue decoded songs and poems as a means for mutual understanding, communication and language learning all in one.

June

You may organize an event (children language learning workshops for different age groups such as physiolinguistics and iTongue language decoded films) if possible together with other institutions or a company.

3rd         European Bicycle Day:  publish something in the media like “Ride your bike becoming clever: what about putting your vocabulary book away, plugging music to your head, biking away in the sun and the wind and knowing your vocabulary tonight anyway? Here is your try:…. (download free iTongue LLLs )”. You may also organize a local public “biking-without-borders” tour: people book in advance in order to receive free iTongue Leisure-Language-Learning Apps as well as the map and description of the tour. At the end of the tour you provide microphones and organize an exchange about the experience made with learning language skills while biking, and you invite the media.

20th       World Refugee Day (UN) : See 20th January World Day of Social Justice; and 25th May UNO co memorandum Solidarity week with all those who are fighting for freedom, independence and Human Rights

21st         Fête de la Musique, a music festival which began in France 1982 and is now held around the world. Ethnical differences may separate nations. Music unites. Different musical characteristics are appealing. Music makes at ease with everything, especially with learning. Do an iTongue presentation: Musical Language Learning. October

1st         World Music Day (UNESCO): Since scientists discovered that music is the most efficient way to provide us with reward hormones and that our entire existence, immune system, digestion, reproduction, cell regeneration, mental well being, performance and learning all depend on reward hormones, music now has become the currency of a new postindustrial age! We do sport with music, we walk with music, we relax with music, and we have dinner with music. Music is an energy provider! Music has become a new gold mine! And we certainly shouldn’t miss music when working or learning! Music seduces your ear to learn by itself, no swotting anymore: that’s iTongue!  See also 21st June Fête de la Musique.

5th          World Teachers' Day (UNESCO) aims to mobilize support for teachers and to ensure that the needs of future generations will be met by teachers. Therefore: contact schools!

17th        International day for the eradication of poverty (UN): see below 24th October Developmental Issues

24th      World Information Day for Developmental Issues (UN): Automation has reached a level where factories “grow” uncountable products, almost like plants used to grow by themselves from the ground. Work has disappeared! In order to recreate work, where work has disappeared thanks to automation, obsolenscence now programs shorter and shorter lives for all products: the manic production of rubbish! This is in fact what really threatens the planet. That is why we are already consuming within decades the resources of eons for production and transport of rubbish that piles as a new kind of sedimentary rocks competing with the coal rafts and the Jurassic Strata of the earth’s crust. Either we now earn our living by obsolescence (the rapid destruction of our automatically “grown” products). Or we relax on our balcony with an equipment that is working for a life time (like the first light bulb that is still working!) and we realize that paradise on earth has come true: we can now dedicate ourselves fully to the development of skills, art and knowledge, which are the immaterial market sectors of the leisure and learning society in the electronic age: iTongue!

(See also 21st May International Day for Cultural Development).

27th         Audio Visual Heritage Day (UNESCO): tell the public that you are adding a new all-in-one item to the audio-visual future heritage that provides, pleasure, leisure, learning and achieving.

30th         World Saving Day : ask you local bank for funding and in return you provide them with a nice musical clip that talks about saving a lot of money by learning languages fast and without effort. And decode for this clip your language convincingly with for example English.

12th         Grandparents day (started in the US): Invite grannies and grandpas with their grandchildren to your cream-tea-party and give them a good treat with all the entertaining alphabetization and language material you have

International events without specific date:

European Culture Days:  The aim is to highlight that culture is the foundation for the “European house”. There is much more at steak than people used to think in terms of Europe and in terms of language communication! Europe stands for the possibly most important achievement of humanity: the Human Rights! It also stands for environmental protection and peace worldwide! Foreign language competence is an indispensable base for a functioning Europe! Organize events in cooperation with other local institutions and companies, offer free trial workshops, free downloads, ask for an information stool at other local events. (in Karlsruhe, Germany End of April – beginning of May)

EU-Project days in schools: one a year schools are invited to raise awareness for European Issues by organizing the respective events, activities and initiatives. Offer to them a workshop on decoded language learning. Without language competences no Europe!

For more information about the above dates, just google them.
